They Rejected Me

Believe it or not, you were not designed to fit in. You were meant to stand out. You were meant to be different. And this has nothing to do with your nationality, nor does it have anything to do with your lineage. This has everything to do with who’s within you. But my question is this, if they rejected Christ, then why do you expect them to accept you?

The Bible says that we are to be the light in the midst of the darkness, but why is it that so many people hide their lights, or allow their lights to wax dim? The answer is simple: conformity. We have allowed life to mold us into who they want us to be, and that’s not the way it was meant to be. The Bible says in Romans 2:2:

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

How do you renew your mind? By the reading of the word daily. By spending time meditating  and conversing(communing) with God. But what happens when we don’t is simple; we become just like everyone else, moved by what we see. But you’re a faith walker. You’re a God infused, bible reading child of God.

Jesus was rejected by the world while he was here. In Matthew 12:1-21, you see how one moment they were all for Jesus, until he went against the grain(the law). The moment he began to place himself in the distinguished position of authority, followed by operating in the miraculous, their hearts and minds changed. But why? Had Jesus remained the same, they would have went away peacefully. But he didn’t. He went about the father’s business and the moment he did, they plotted against him. This is Jesus we are talking about, so what do you think they will do to you? The answer is the exact same thing. They will mock you, they will bash you, and they will attempt persecute you just because you’re a follower of Christ and not the religion of Christianity.

Rejection not a negative thing. The negative thing is when you are accepted for not being different.
